The Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands is an unincorporated territory and commonwealth of the United States comprised of 14 islands in the northern Pacific Ocean. The CNMI consists of the 14 northernmost Mariana Archipelago islands; Guam, the southernmost island, is a distinct US territory.
According to the United States Department of the Interior, the landmass is 183.5 square miles (475.26 km2). According to the 2020 United States Census, the CNMI had 47,329 residents at the time. Saipan, Tinian, and Rota are home to the great bulk of the inhabitants. The other Northern Marianas islands are lightly populated; the most noteworthy of them is Pagan, which has suffered significant population fluctuation throughout the ages for different causes, but formerly had thousands of people.
Capitol Hill, a town in northeastern Saipan, serves as the administrative hub. However, since the island is managed as a single municipality, most publications consider Saipan to be the capital.
Since 2020, the minimum wage in the Northern Mariana Islands has been set to $7.25 per hour.
Relocation assistance; medical, prescription, vision, and dental plans; health and dependent care flexible spending accounts; retirement benefit plans (pension, 401(k), 403(b)); group term life and long-term care insurance plans; legal assistance plans; medical second opinion programs, adoption assistance, child care benefits, and transportation benefits are examples of employee benefits in the United States.
Employee discount programs that give employees access to specialized offerings from local and regional vendors (such as movie and theme park tickets, wellness programs, discounted shopping, hotels and resorts, and so on) may also be included in benefits.

The Northern Mariana Islands government will enroll tourists in the Sara Alert System so that coronavirus symptoms may be monitored throughout their stay.
In the United States, employment contracts might be verbal, written, or implicit. Contracts, on the other hand, should be in writing with the conditions clearly stated out to protect both the employer and the employee. In practice, the majority of contracts are in writing.
The following are examples of common employment contract terms:
Employer and employee names
The kind and scope of the service to be provided
Salary and payment intervals
Salary and payment intervals
Start and end dates (if for a fixed-term)
Benefits and leave entitlements
There is no set length for assignments. This is usually indicated in the employment contract for fixed-term employments.
